It is always special to look back at everything 2025 brought to CyberMotion. When you reflect on the past year, what are you most proud of?
“Without a doubt, the introduction of CyberTrack. This has been the most important milestone of the year for us. It is a product we have been working towards for a long time, and finally seeing it being delivered and used in the field is very special. CyberTrack brings a new level of control and integration to motion. It allows motion to exist as a true creative layer within a show environment, alongside lighting, video, and sound. That is something we have always believed in, and 2025 was the year it became real. It also meant a lot that RCL and CyberMotion North America became the first two customers to invest in CyberTrack. Both chose to take that first step with us, and that kind of trust is something I truly value.”
So in many ways CyberTrack became the technological heart of CyberMotion in 2025. How would you describe its role in what the company is today?
“CyberTrack really defined this year for us. It builds on everything CyberMotion already is, but it adds a new layer of integration and creative control. It fits perfectly into modern show environments, where motion, lighting, video an sound all need to work together. That kind of third party integration is part of everyday life now, and CyberTrack is designed for exactly that. What I also like about it is that controlling our actuators is not just powerful, but also intuitive. It allows operators and programmers to move quickly and respond even better to what is happening on stage. And that is where technology and people really come together. No matter how good a system is, it only becomes meaningful when it supports the people using it. That is also where teamwork starts to play a role, because building something like this is never done in isolation.”
That brings us to collaboration. How did teamwork inside CyberMotion and with your partners help make all of this possible?
“There are always challenges when you are pushing technology forward, but what really matters is how you deal with them. At CyberMotion, that is always about teamwork. Not only within our own team, but also together with our customers and partners. We do this together. A good example of that is the East Kowloon Cultural Centre in Hong Kong. This project started already during the design of the building, and together with our partner Stage Tech, we were involved in the tender and in shaping how CyberMotion would become part of the venue. These kinds of projects take years, and in this case it was four to five years before everything came together. The system was shipped in May, installed in October, and is now in use, and the client is happy. That is the result of long term collaboration and trust on all sides.”
Beyond these large projects, where else do you see that teamwork reflected in the way CyberMotion works?
“For me, it is in how fast and how flexibly we respond, especially in software. If users run into something in the user interface, or if a customer or a platform requires an adjustment, we react quickly. That happens almost weekly. Our platform is constantly evolving based on what people experience in real shows. That connection between users and development is one of our greatest strengths, and it keeps CyberMotion sharp and relevant.”
When you look at that combination of unique technology and close collaboration, what do you think truly sets CyberMotion apart, and why does that still motivate you personally?
“CyberMotion has always been a niche product, and that is something I am proud of. There are not many systems that offer this type of motion control. Because we keep evolving the platform and our systems, it deepens that position even more. What motivates me is seeing how quickly and intuitively users and operators can work with it. When people can react fast and program motion without friction, it changes how creative they can be. CyberMotion allows that kind of intuitive programming, and knowing that this helps people do their jobs better and more freely is what keeps me motivated.”
We are incredibly grateful for the trust you placed in CyberMotion this year. Every show, every installation, and every conversation helps push the boundaries of what motion can be in live entertainment. That shared ambition is what drives us forward.
Stepping into the new year, we look forward to continuing these collaborations and to starting new ones. Whether you are already working with CyberMotion or just beginning to explore what is possible with CyberTrack, we invite you to join the conversation. Let us exchange ideas, build together, and take live experiences to the next level.
Here is to a new year full of creativity, innovation, and motion. We cannot wait to see what we will create together. We wish you a happy 2026, full of great motion!
