MotionManager Update
Software Update V6.0.0
MotionManager V6.0.0 is released. The user application comes along with new MasterBox and Motion Controller firmware as well as new factory settings for the actuators, introducing a CyberRotator for the first time. And maybe there are new other actuators or machines to come in the near future. We are prepared with new and powerful object’s kinematics. Read more below.
This package of software and firmware also offers better and more stable network connectivity. RT Ethernet is available directly from the MC3D console. Touchscreen actions and drag’n drop behaviour have been enhanced. This helps when sorting and re-arranging things such as long cue lists.
All the updates mark a significant evolution of the Cybermotion system. Some highlights in particular…
Kinematics
New types of actuators required a new approach in software and for the creation of objects. We decoupled the physical ablities of a certain type of actuator like trolley or hoist and set a more universal and flexible kinematic model in place. When setting up an object, also select its kinematic model according to your needs. Choose between complex, translation or rotation. The UI and setup view offer a detailed explanation in words and pictures when you click on the ‘?’.

Track and ’Trk’ are gone and there’s Path instead and a ‘Pth’ parameter of course. You will recognize this in Terminal and for instance in Direct Object Control or wherever LCD parameters appear.
Direct Object Control
This mode of operation is now more precise and more ‘direct’ than ever. We got rid of a nasty delay at initial moving. A problem when creeping at almost zero speed but not stopping is solved. Stop class behaviours and error reactions have been reviewed.
Did you know? You can customize and arrange known and new LCD parameters as you like it.

MasterBox Real-time Ports
The console’s MasterBox has three real-time Ethernet ports that now function. RT Ethernet 1, 2 and 3 work the same way like on a Motion Controller inside every actuator. Allowing you to establish a RT Ethernet domain right from the console.
Brake Feedback Monitoring
For safety reasons the electromagnetic brakes of all actuators are equipped with microswitches or contactless sensors. They provide a feedback of the brake’s state. Is it open or closed? Together with the brake control command a safe logic has been established on the Motion Controller that judges about the brake behaviour being safe or not.
Maintenance Access Code
The permanent password for maintenance mode and factory settings has been altered for security and safety reasons.

Please note:
This MotionManager software requires macOS Tahoe 26. If the macOS on your console is older, please, contact support@cyber-motion.com and make an appointment for a remote update session.
- The installation of macOS can only be done by us.
- New actuator identity files require an update of the actuator’s factory settings.
Ask for an access code to maintenance mode or further assistance via support@cyber-motion.com. Make sure to reserve a decent amount of time for the update process. Use a closed environment for doing so and for testing especially. We do not recommend a show location for this.
Be aware that a downgrade to previous software and firmware versions as well as factory settings might take as long as the update process.
